Choirmaster Vicki PersonVicki Person wanted to be a church musician at about age 8. She loved the sound of the organ. She told her piano teacher (who was a church organist) that she didn't want to study piano, just organ. Her piano teacher told her that Vicki had to study piano for five years before she could begin organ study. At the time, Vicki was short and her feet couldn't reach the pedals on the organ!
She now studies with Dr. John Peterson at the University of Memphis. Vicki is currently a full-time student at the U of M as an organ performance major.
