Youth Ministry is most successful when it:
focuses on faith formation
is fundamentally relational ministry
has an evangelical purpose
is congregationally-owned
is contextual. Youth and family ministry means knowing your audience-the who, what, when, where, and why of your audience. This means
paying attention to:
the cultures in which young people live and which so profoundly affect them
the general state of teenagers; what does it look/feel like to be a teenager today?
the particular teenagers who are a part of the community and congregation
Our mission is to help our youth, their parents, and the volunteers who work with the children to make an impact on the world by reaching out and helping other people. Our goal is to nurture children, encourage them to think of others, open opportunities to them to help other people, and provide a spiritual foundation for their daily lives. We offer the youth an environment of love, safety, acceptance, a place to learn about Christ, a place to grow and develop Christian beliefs, a place to grow Christian relationships, and a place to have fun.
