Frequently Asked Questions
How may I prepare to participate financially?
Prayerfully consider what God is saying to your heart. Recommended Scripture passages about
stewardship and giving to help you are: 1 Corinthians 16:2, 2 Corinthians 8:7, Proverbs 3:5-9,
Proverbs 11:25, Psalm 116:12, Luke 6:38 and Acts 20:35.
What is a Commitment Card?
A commitment card helps the capital campaign team understand the amounts and timing of
monetary gifts above current stewardship gifts. This information will help the team balance
internal giving with the need for fundraisers. It will also guide the timing for building repairs.
We will not begin a project until the money needed has been raised.
If I can’t give a large amount, does my pledge really matter?
Yes! We should all participate according to the gifts given to us by God. God will bless these
monetary gifts and multiple them. There are a number of activities planned where you can apply
your time and talents to help us reach our goal.
What if my giving circumstances change over the next three years?
You will be able to update your pledge at any time through the church office or contacting the team. The team will also provide a church-wide opportunity each year for updates to your commitment.
When should I start giving?
Giving can start as soon as you are ready. Please indicate on your envelope or check how much you would like to go towards the Capital Campaign. Remember this money should be in addition to what your current stewardship gift is today.
